Clinic & Concert | Historical Development of Literature for the Trombone Choir
The University of Texas at Austin Trombone Choir

The University of Texas Trombone Choir, winners of the 2023 Remington International Trombone Choir competition, will demonstrate the trombone choir's rich heritage and the wide variety of music available for the ensemble. The performance will showcase the instrument's 17th-century ancestor (the sackbut) and the complete modern trombone family.

Zed Saxophone Quartet, silver medalists at the 2024 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, is mentored by associate professor Stephen Page and comprised of graduate and undergraduate students from the Butler School of Music: Connor O’Toole, Jacob Feldman, Marina Sakellakis, David Bennette.

Clinic | Dallas Winds Saxes: What We've Learned in 32 Years

The Dallas Winds saxophone section has performed together for over 32 years, in hundreds of converts and on 22 recordings with five Grammy nominations.  Section members will share and show how they've learned to blend, support, and stand out within the ensemble to help create their signature sound.
