Not sure you can attend enough performances for a subscription package? No worries! We won’t make you wait. You can purchase individual tickets through each event listing on our calendar, or you can view the full schedule of our ticketed events and make a purchase here:
Discounted Tickets
The Butler School of Music offers discounted tickets to every performance for University of Texas at Austin faculty and staff, senior citizens, and any student with a valid student ID. Admission prices vary by the event. UT Austin students are eligible for complimentary tickets (see below).
Complimentary Tickets
The Butler School makes a limited number of complimentary tickets available to certain groups in the community. Please note that The Butler School can not provide complimentary tickets to any event sponsored by Texas Performing Arts.
University of Texas at Austin Students
All University of Texas at Austin students are allowed a maximum of one free ticket with a valid UT I.D. card to every ticketed performance at the Butler School. We hold a limited amount of tickets for students, so don't wait until showtime in case we sell out.
To obtain your tickets:
- Visit the Butler School of Music Box Office in person during regular business hours up to one month in advance. Present your UT I.D. card and a maximum of one ticket per I.D. will be issued to you at no charge.
- You may also obtain comp tickets at the Box Office within one hour of the performance, if there are still any available. Distribution of comp tickets just before the performance is at the discretion of the cashier. Paying customers will be given priority.
Butler School of Music Faculty and Staff
Butler School of Music faculty and staff can receive one free ticket by emailing the request to tickets@mail.music.utexas.edu. Tickets can be emailed to you or held at will call.
Austin Independent School District Music Teachers
The Butler School offers up to 100 complimentary tickets to all of our ticketed ensemble concerts for Austin Independent School District music students and their directors. Eligible ensembles include:
Butler Opera Center
Concert Chorale
Jazz Orchestra
Symphony Orchestra
Wind Ensemble
To secure comp tickets for your students, email your request to tickets@mail.music.utexas.edu. Please include the performance your group plans to attend, the name the tickets should be held under, and how many tickets you need.
Box Office
The Box Office is located in the lobby of the music building, right beside the grand staircase.
Spring 2024 Hours
Mon | 10-11am & 2-3pm
Tue | 11am-1pm
Wed | 11am-1pm
Thu | 2-3pm
Fri | 11am-12pm & 2-3pm
Additionally, the Box Office will always be open one hour prior to a concert in the venue in which the performance is to take place.
