Whether you need performers for your upcoming wedding ceremony or cocktail party, or you're looking for private instruction on an instrument, students from the Butler School are ready to serve. Simply fill out the Musician Request Form below, and we'll get to work pairing you with a student who meets your needs.
- We are unable to accommodate events held outside of the Austin metropolitan area.
- Students are empowered to negotiate their own rates and working conditions. For performers, we typically recommend that clients be prepared to pay about $125 per musician per hour. Fees for private instruction or tutoring can vary widely.
- For best results, submit your request at least two weeks and no more than six months before the date of your event. Availability of student performers and teachers is limited during final exams, University of Texas official holidays, and summers.
- Make sure to account for logistical considerations. Does your venue have a well-maintained piano? Is there sufficient space for a large instrument, such as harp? Are there conveniently located power outlets?
