The Treble Chamber Choir is an auditioned ensemble of upper voices (Sopranos and Altos). Treble Chamber Choir is open to any student at the University of Texas at Austin regardless of their major (graduate or undergraduate). Singers will study varied repertoire from early renaissance through jazz and contemporary styles. This choir will sing numerous performances scheduled throughout the Fall and Spring semesters both on campus as well as in area schools. Typically once each year, the chorale joins with the other choirs to collaborate with the Symphony Orchestra a choral masterwork. Recent combined choir performances have included Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Rachmaninoff’s The Bells, and Mozart’s Requiem.
