Longhorn Big Sing
Longhorn Big Sing™ is a day of singing, community, and spirit for your high school students where they’ll get to spend the day with the choral faculty and teaching assistants from the Butler School of Music. The day will be filled with rehearsals on three pieces—SSAA, TTBB, and SATB, a recital by some of our current voice students, and performances by The University of Texas at Austin choirs!
We’ve imagined this day as one where you can bring as many students as you like, without the pressure of a public performance with your choir so early in the year. Instead, this is a BIG SING, where students from many schools combine their talents into a mass choir and share in the spirit of togetherness and singing

Big Sing 2025
2025 was the largest event yet, with nearly 450 high school students in attendance, eager to have fun and to work hard. Each participant received two pieces of music in advance, allowing them to focus on mastering their performance rather than just learning the notes. the day included a packed schedule of rehearsals, a performance by the UT choirs, a celebrity piano performance of "Chopsticks" by Hook 'Em, and a series of performances featuring all 450 attendees alongside Butler School Students.
