Audition Fever

As the COVID-10 pandemic shut down the world and concert halls and stages across the globe went dark, the Butler Opera Center mainstage season was postponed. Using an abundance of caution, quarantining and COVID testing, However, the center was able to produce the world premiere of the 1-act opera Audition Fever, composed by a student at the Butler School of Music.  With safety of paramount importance, The production was staged with members of the Undergraduate Opera Ensemble in Bates Recital Hall, without sets and with minimal stage lighting to an empty house.  The performance was streamed via the Butler School website. The production featured an all-female production team.
