Most ensembles are open to any student in the university, subject to a successful audition.

University Orchestra

Requirements
University Orchestra is re-auditioning for membership and seating for woodwinds, brass, and percussion and is holding auditions for new string players (current string players are not required to re-audition).
Auditionees are required to prepare ALL the excerpts for the instruments listed below in addition to a one-minute solo work that best reflects your musical and technical ability. Percussionists, keyboardists, and harpists should contact utorchestras@utexas.edu directly if interested in joining.

Requirements
All music majors auditioning for ensembles are required to take the rotation audition. Non-majors also have the option of taking the rotation audition, however they are not required to. Non-majors wishing to audition only for Symphony Band can find more information in the Symphony Band section.
Students will be required to play excerpts for their instrument linked below.
