The Music Building will be under construction for most of summer 2019 while we replace the aging HVAC system in the west side of the building. During the work, the entire west wing of the Music complex (the MBE side) will be completely closed and inaccessible. This is the side of the building that is closest to Trinity St. and the San Jacinto Garage.
If you are planning to visit the Butler School over the summer, plan to enter the building via the main entrance on the south side of the building, or one of the entrances on the East side of the complex that faces Robert Dedman Drive.
The construction is expected to last most of the summer. Currently the west wing is scheduled to re-open on August 17, 2019.
