Congratulations to Professor Veit Erlmann for the recent approval of his new research project, The Sound of Hate: Hate Speech, Sound and the Law. The project is a comparative study of racist, xenophobic, Islamophobic, and antisemitic hate speech and its relationship to sound, music, and law in the U.S., Germany, and South Africa.
Additionally, volume 6, issue 2 (2020) of Sound Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal, a peer-reviewed journal that Professor Erlmann edits at Routledge, is out now. Most of the articles are open access.
