“Fanny! You are killing me!"
"No man dies of love but on the stage, Mr. Crawford.”
At age 10, penniless Fanny Price goes to live at Mansfield Park, the estate of her aunt's husband. Clever, studious, imaginative and finely moral, she is especially close to her cousin Edmund. As she grows into her beauty, Fanny draws the attention of a neighbor, Henry Crawford, a charismatic yet cruel figure. To navigate increasingly difficult matters of the heart, Fanny must learn to bravely assert her character and wit.
With an aim to create a "sound-world that Jane Austen would have recognized," the composer has scored this Regency era adaptation for a single piano played by two pianists.
