Shuyi Xie is a native Chinese collaborative pianist based in Austin and the San Francisco Bay Area. Her passion for chamber music and vocal arts has led her to numerous concerts, ensembles, festivals, and masterclasses.

Shuyi Xie holds her Masters and Professional Studies Certificate in Collaborative Piano under the guidance of Dr. Timothy Bach from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She also served as a collaborative pianist in the Pre-College and Continuing Education of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music from 2020-2022.  

In 2022, Shuyi Xie was admitted to the Doctoral of Musical Arts degree in collaborative piano at the University of Texas at Austin, where she served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant of Dr. Colette Valentine.

During her time in the United States, Shuyi Xie attended hundreds of concerts in San Francisco and Austin, including symphonies, chamber music, ensembles, and recitals. Ms Xie served as a collaborative pianist in the Bach-Millennium Opera Festival. She also played and collaborated on many master classes, including the one featuring Martin Katz, Viyay Gupta, and Ray Chen.

In 2021, Shuyi performed the Yellow River Piano Concerto remotely with five other overseas pianists and collaborated with Changsha Symphony to celebrate the Chinese Community’s 100th birthday, which was reported by Chinese mainstream media, such as CCTV and Xinhua media.
