Gonzalo Kochi Kikuchi is a double bassist with over a decade of teaching experience. He is currently serving as double bass faculty at Luzerne Music Center, String Project, and Texas A&M International University. As a solo musician, he was recently invited to be a guest artist for the third international piano festival “Franz Liszt Edition” held in Peru. Additionally, throughout his career he has had several awards andrecognitions such as placing second place in the Raymi Bass Competition and winning the Hilary Hahn award. As an orchestral musician, Gonzalo has played with the Southwest Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Peru, the Spanish River Symphony Orchestra, and the Romanza Symphony Orchestra among others.
