Teaching Assistant, Flute

Annabel MacDonald is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Flute Performance under Marianne Gedigian at the University of Texas at Austin, where she serves as Graduate Teaching Assistant to the flute studio. She earned her Performance Certificate and BM in Flute Performance as a student of Dr. Jacqueline Cordova-Arrington at the University of Oregon, where she concurrently earned her BA in International Studies with a focus in Law and Human Rights.

Annabel’s passion for innovative, interdisciplinary performance has led her to numerous festivals, masterclasses, and ensembles in the US and abroad, including Domaine Forget, the Brevard Music Center, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestral Institute, the University of British Columbia Chamber Festival, OrchestraNext, and the Pacific Artists Collective. Annabel won the 2021 UO Outstanding Graduate Woodwind Performer award and was a featured presenter at the 2017 Musicking Conference Undergraduate Research Panel. In pursuit of her International Studies Law and Human Rights degree focus (specializing research in genocide studies and restorative justice), she received the 2020 UO Global Education Oregon Human Rights and Peace Studies in the Balkans Scholarship Award.
