The University of Texas HORN CHOIR, led by Professor Patrick Hughes, presents a variety of concerts and special performances throughout each academic year. The Horn Choir is comprised primarily of music majors studying horn with Professor Hughes. The ensemble rehearses one hour each week, and focuses on sight reading, mixing it up, enjoying the amazing colors of the horn choir and having fun. The UT Horn CHOIR holds two first prize trophies from the Horn Ensemble Competitions at the International Horn Symposiums, held in Macomb IL and Los Angeles respectively. Frequent attendees of Regional and International Horn Conferences, horn students from the studio have performed as a horn choir and are frequent finalists and winners in solo and quartet competitions.
