The Miró Quartet brought Ginastera's cycle of three quartets to life with fiercely intense accounts at the intimate Rose Studio, reported The New York Times, where they were presented by the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in its series of string quartet cycles.

Butler School head piano technician Charles Ball is tasked with the job of tuning and fixing UT’s 220 pianos, which are spread across campus.

Over spring break, Professor of Ethnomusicology Sonia Seeman and six Butler School students traveled to Karachi, Pakistan to give two performances with Pakistan's National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA), the culmination of the UT Austin South Asia Institute's three-year U.S. Department of State University Partnerships grant.
