The University of Texas Jazz Combos offer students an immersive small-group experience. Led by exceptionally talented graduate assistants and supported by regular coaching from UT Jazz faculty, students perform a wide range of styles from the jazz tradition. Regularly scheduled public performances at a local venue connect groups with Austin’s vibrant music scene while fostering individual creativity.

JOIN

Jazz combos are open to students university-wide by audition. Previous jazz experience is required. Auditions for the entire academic year take place in the week before Fall classes begin.
