String Project Instructor, Violin
Adriana Rizk is a dedicated and passionate music educator committed to the transformative power of music. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at The University of Texas at Austin, she leverages her understanding of human behavior to enhance her teaching in the String Project.
Adriana's musical journey began at age 11 in the Kleb Intermediate Orchestra. She developed her skills with the Houston Youth Symphony Orchestra and the American Festival of the Arts. At Klein Cain High School in Houston, Adriana served as Head Librarian for the school orchestra, where she showcased her organizational skills and collaborated with directors. She mentored younger students through the Orchestra Buddy Program and taught private violin lessons at Doerre Intermediate School, creating tailored lesson plans and fostering a positive, creative learning environment.
At the University of Texas, Adriana continues to perform with the University Orchestra and volunteers with organizations like Healing with Harmonies performing in community clinics. Her commitment to music education and mentorship has been recognized with numerous awards, including being an International Finalist in the Midwest Clinic as concertmaster, a National Winner in the Mark of Excellence Orchestra Honors, and honors at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble competition. She has also been acknowledged at the TMEA Honor Orchestra Competition, received the Regional Tommy Tunes Award, and earned the Klein Cain Orchestra Directors Award for outstanding leadership and performance.
Adriana Rizk is dedicated to inspiring and empowering students through music education. As a teacher in the String Project, she nurtures the next generation of musicians, fostering a lifelong love of music and community.
