Diana Burgess (B.M. 2015), cellist of the orchestral indie band Mother Falcon, has signed a recording contract with Universal Music Classics. Mother Falcon’s first CD on the Universal label — Good Luck, Have Fun — will be released Friday, October 9.
Mother Falcon will tour the U.S. with singer-songwriter and cellist Ben Sollee. Stops will include Nashville (City Winery), Philadelphia (World Café), Chicago (Thalia Hall) and New York City (Le Poisson Rouge). Burgess directs the creative part of the tour, including assisting with arranging pieces for the program.
