Former concert cellist Ms. Fonteneau earned her BM in cello performance and an MM in chamber music performance with Bonnie Hampton at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she then taught for ten years at the Pre-college and Adult Extension divisions.

Now a licensed somatic psychotherapist in the state of California (MFC49425) and founder of the WholeHearted Musician™, Ms. Fonteneau devotes her time to speaking, writing, teaching, consulting and coaching some of the world’s top performing artists, managers, concert presenters, entrepreneurs and companies.

She has been in residence at Yellow Barn, and the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theater and Dance as well as guest presented for the Juilliard School, the United States Marine Band, Rice University, San Francisco State’s Psychology Department, the Manhattan School of Music, California All-State Music Educators Conference, Network for Career Development Officers and the Chamber Music America and Andover Educator’s Conferences.
