
String Project Instructor, Violin
Zhengnan Eric Wang is currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts in violin performance at The University of Texas at Austin with Daniel Ching. He earned his bachelor's degree with a performer's certificate from the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester with violinist Oleh Krysa. In 2025 he finished his master's degree from Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, where he studied with Kathleen Winkler. Wang is passionate about chamber music. He attended the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, and The Centrum Chamber Music Festival where he had opportunities to work with members of the Juilliard Quartet, Dover Quartet, Laurie Smukler, Doris Lederer, David Bowling, and Dimtry Kouzov. He also has been selected to appear in masterclasses with the Jerusalem Quartet, Gil Shaham, Augustin Hadelich, and Eszter Haffner. Besides music, he likes to watch movies and spend time with his cat Simba.
