Teaching Assistant in Viola
Juilliard Alumnus, Singapore Symphony Orchestra freelancer, and doctoral candidate at University of Texas at Austin, Jason began to study viola at the age of 9. He is a National Competition Prize Winner in Taiwan, and has received highest scholarships from Idyllwild arts academy and full scholarships from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, Tianjin Juilliard and The University of Texas at Austin.
He was one of the youngest artists in history to hold a debut recital at the Taiwan National Concert Hall, to a sold-out audience. In 2019, he performed with Mastro Imai Nobuko, and was invited to study with her privately.
He has an active career as a soloist and chamber musician. He participated in the first class of the International Chamber Festival at Tianjin Juilliard School of Music. He has performed internationally in such renowned halls as the Tianjin Grand Theatre, the Singapore Esplanade Concert Hall, and the Taiwan National Concert Hall. He was invited to perform at the opening and closing ceremonies at Davos World economic forum and in Louis Vuitton stores in China as an outstanding artist. He has worked and performed with musicians such as Nobuko Imai, the Shanghai String Quartet, the Juilliard String Quartet, Scott Lee, and faculty members of the Tianjin Juilliard School. Jason performs on a Gemunder. A 1870 viola on generous loan from the Chimei Foundation.
