String Project Instructor, Viola
ABOUT
Lilya Aljarrah is a violist from Houston, Texas. She begin her musical career on the violin, which she played for four years before switching to the viola, which she has now played for seven years. During high school, Aljarrah has served as a section leader in her high school orchestra.
She also played with the Houston Youth Symphony's Symphony Orchestra for two years, and performed works such as Mahler's Symphony No. 2, Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, and Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.
Lilya currently attends The University of Texas at Austin where she studies viola and follows a pre-physician assistant track. After completing her undergraduate studies, she plans to attend physician assistant school.
