Kelly Chanpong started her piano career at the age of four when she first enrolled in the Junior Music Course (JMC) at Yamaha Music School. She is currently an international student from Bangkok, Thailand, pursuing a Bachelor of Music in instrumental studies: piano with professor Anton Nel at the Butler School of Music.
At the age of 16, Kelly completed the Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) piano diploma with distinction and received the second-highest scorer award in Thailand. She has also won numerous awards in both national and international competitions, including the Royal Trophy presented by HRH Princess Patchara Kittiyapa at the Yamaha Thailand Music Festival, second prize at the 7th ASEAN International Chopin Piano Competition in Malaysia, and most recently, third prize at the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition, which gave her the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall in December of 2023.
In addition to her piano studies, Kelly is also pursuing a double major in Elementary Education under the College of Education, combining her passions for both teaching children and playing the piano.
