About

Gracie Godsby is a multifaceted solo performer, collaborative pianist, teacher, and music event coordinator.

In 2020, she won second place in the Texas Music Teachers Association Solo Piano Competition, competing against fellow 12th grade students from across the state of Texas. In conjunction with collaborative pianist Yu-Chien Huang, she advanced as a finalist in the Baylor University 2022-2023 Concerto Competition performing Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini by Sergei Rachmaninoff.

As a freelance artist, Gracie has enjoyed collaborating with musicians of varying degrees of skills, ranging from high school students to graduate students. From 2021-2022, she served as the full-time rehearsal pianist for the Baylor Women’s Choir under Dr. Stephen Gusukuma. During the summer of 2022, Gracie enjoyed serving as a counselor for the Baylor Summer Piano Institute and a rehearsal pianist for the Baylor University All-State Choir Camp.

Starting in high school, Gracie served as a co-coordinator for multiple benefit concerts and fundraisers, and now works for the Austin District Music Teachers’ Association as their Event Manager, organizing district-wide events such as festivals, Whitlock Theory Exams, and TMTA Performance Contests.

As a member of local professional organizations, her students have the opportunity to perform in local festivals, competitions, and recitals. If you’d like to inquire about private lessons, please email graciegodsby@gmail.com.

Her academic honors include graduating Summa Cum Laude from Baylor University; being a Student Ambassador for the Baylor School of Music; being a member of five honor societies, including Pi Kappa Lambda; and receiving a Teaching Assistant position at UT Austin. A former pupil of Elna Myburg, John and Nancy Weems, and Dr. Terry Lynn Hudson, she is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in piano performance from The University of Texas at Austin under Gregory Allen.
