During their time together, the Kealing Middle School band program has seen significant growth from 165 members in 2017 to 270 members this school year. In addition, under Devall's direction, the KMS Symphonic Band was recognized as a Commended Winner for the Citation of Excellence by the Foundation for Music Education in 2019. The group has also continued to earn top honors at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluations from 2017-present.
Nathan Mertens (M.M., Woodwinds, 2014; D.M.A., 2017) will join the University of Arkansas this fall as Teaching Assistant Professor of Saxophone
Jones (A.D., Woodwinds, 2020) will begin teaching this coming fall while finishing his D.M.A at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Additionally, he will also be serving as Grant Writing Associate for Appalachia: A Southeastern Wind Symphony for their 2022-23 season.
Faulconer (B.M., Composition, 1972/M.M., 1974/D.M.A., 1978) is based in Dallas, Faulconer Productions Music, and writes music for film and television, and classical music groups.
