“Music oft hath such a charm / To make bad good, and good provoke to harm” wrote William Shakespeare in his 1623 Measure for Measure. Join the Butler Opera Center in their fall Gala celebrating the stories from the pen of The Bard, transformed by giants of the operatic stage. From Hamlet to Otello, and from Bellini to Britten, this Shakespeare smorgasbord features the rising talent at BOC portraying iconic characters: the good, the good-turned-bad, the star-crossed, and even some fairies.
