Gabriela Mora-Fallas is a Costa Rican conductor known for her energetic and passionate conducting style. She has participated in prestigious music festivals and workshops in the United States and around the world, including the American Academy of Conducting and the Pierre Monteux School for Conductors.


After completing her master’s degree in Orchestral Conducting in Boston, she returned to Costa Rica to collaborate with the country's music scene, where she was awarded the National Music Award in Conducting in 2017.

Gabriela is dedicated to promoting new works and diverse repertoire, especially by female composers and Latin American composers. She has delivered exciting performances in the United States and collaborated with prominent Costa Rican and International artists.
In addition to her work with professional orchestras, Gabriela supports concerts aimed at communities and young people and has worked with youth ensembles in Costa Rica, the United States, and El Salvador.

Gabriela Mora is one of the few active female orchestral conductors in Central America. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Orchestral Conducting at the University of Texas in Austin, serving as co-director of the UT University Orchestra and Teaching Assistant. Gabriela is a mentee of “She is Connected by AT&T 2023-2024”, an exclusive mentoring program for female conductors directed by the Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship.
